About
I love helping teens and young adults heal, grow, and become the free and joy-filled people God created them to be. I believe in the potential each of us has to be light in the world, namely through safe relationship that allows us to see our sweetness, face our own darkness, and experience ourselves as fully, forever loved. That's the sort of space I hope to create with each of my clients. I want you to feel safe and supported, as well as gently challenged when helpful. You can think of me as a millennial big sister. I’m here to be with you, listen to you, and help you carry what's too heavy to carry alone.
My therapy approach is holistic, combining experiential + emotion-focused techniques with cognitive behavioral techniques. I am trained in ACT and ERP therapies to treat OCD.
Therapy with me often includes: storytelling, practicing mindfulness or guided visualization, exploring emotions, identifying personal values, noticing unhelpful thought patterns, assumptions + core beliefs, connecting the past to the present, slowly facing fears, and learning more effective coping and relationship skills. As a follower of Jesus, I value the Bible as God’s infallible, written Word, and God as the ultimate source of wisdom. I love to incorporate faith into therapy if you desire that.
Whatever you or your teen is struggling with, this is not the end. Therapy can be the start of a new chapter. I'd be honored to be part of your journey or your teen's journey. If you are curious or feel led, please reach out. We can have a 15 minute call and see if it's a good fit. Talk to you soon!
What I Do in My Free Time
Out of the office, I sing on my church's worship team, enjoy writing and reading, adore fresh flowers, and love to bake (& eat) chocolate chip cookies.
