Ministry Partnership

Spiritual, emotional, relational and mental health go hand in hand.

You – pastors and leaders – wear so many hats in ministry: teacher, planner, pastoral caregiver, theologian, volunteer coordinator, coach, cultural prophet and visionary leader. Then there are the other hats you wear outside of ministry. It’s a lot.

We want to help.

Don Diva and I (Catherine Morrill), as well as other SRP therapists, have been in full-time ministry prior to becoming therapists. We know the stress firsthand, as well as the joy. From SRP’s beginning hosting healing conferences in partnership with young adult ministries, we have partnered with local churches and ministries.

As a saint wrote long ago, the Christian community is meant to be a "hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints."

As you know, when you’re leading effectively and creating authentic communities, those who are hurting open up to you and your team.

When communities are safe-enough places for people to be transparent and vulnerable about their depression, anxiety, marriage problems or other issues, the needs can be substantial. Even if you’re amazing at providing pastoral care, you know the difficulty balancing being a steady resource for hurting folks and your other responsibilities.

We want to support you and your team.

Perhaps that looks like consulting with you when you’re not sure how to handle a situation. Or seeing some of your folks for therapy. Or offering training for your leadership team.

Here are some ways SRP has partnered with churches and ministries in the past:

  • Providing consultation for leaders facing difficult situations.

  • Teaching on anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment and couples, porn and sex addiction, betrayal, grief and lament, burnout, spiritual abuse, LGBTQ and the church.

  • Facilitating groups and workshops.

  • Being part of mental health awareness events.

  • Having a room available in the church for therapy.

  • Providing therapy to pastors.

  • Being a trusted referral source.

  • Partnering with churches and orgs to make therapy affordable for their members.
